D&C 42:39

Querido Familia-

First and foremost HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!!!!!!! πŸŽ‰ 🎈 🎁 I hope you had
the best birthday!!!!!!!!!!!
Second, FHE IDEA!!!!!!!!!!!! Buy some liver, fry it up and eat it so
that you know what your beloved sister/daughter is going through!!!!
Yes I had to eat liver again this week and each time it gets worse and
worse, it just desolves into sand in your mouth and if you apply this
activity right, you will learn for yourself. Really, not much happened
this week, we visited Ramon and when we got there his child(he's
3)started throwing up and we were like yeah, we'll come back a
different day. And we tried to visit Denise but she was always busy
and Linda, well she couldn't but she invited us over for lunch next
Sunday!!! Oh I almost forgot, Tuesday we had a seventy speak to us!!!
Ulysses Soares. Man, he was really good. He talked a lot about the
importance of companion study, he shared D&C 48:8-9 with us. How when
we are gathered (wherever it may be, from church to companion study to
fhe and family scriptures) the purpose is to instruct and edify to learn and apply.

He also talked a lot about our calling, how we
were called and what our calling means. One thing he said that really
struck me was that me((a missionary)) and the apostle have the same
calling, to testify of Christ. And we are the only ones set apart to
do so, super cool. We talked about goals. Moses 3:4-5, even God
planned out before He created the world. And he talked about after
everything we can do, then are we blessed. And he finished with this
quote "ATTITUDE determines ALTITUDE". It was a bomb day, until I had to
say the closing prayer and my knees were so shaky I almost fell on my
face but I got an extra hug from his wife and extra handshake from
him, so worth it. That night was cool too, we went to pass by the
Cordovas and they weren't home😭 but as we were about to walk away a
kid I knew from the church walked out and I was like well we can go
visit this fam por la menos, so we had a really nice short lesson with
them about Christ and they prayed for opportunities to share their
testimonies and so as we were walking out I was like watch, right as
we walk out the cordovas walk in. AND GUESS WHAT HAPPENED. right as we
walked out the cordovas walked in, and they invited us in and well
MIRACLESπŸ˜πŸ€—πŸ˜ they are just the coolest. Basically it was a slow week
but it was a great week!!!! Anyways love you all!!!! Have a good
week!!!

Romans 8:31

Hola Familiaaaa

Today was a really fun pday, we((the district))played basketball! It
was fun to just run around and of course I was killin it at the 3
point line 😎. So the rest of this week was pretty good! We managed to
stay super busy. So Thursday we had interviews and they went really
well! President is super cool, we were talking about after the mission
and I told him about cosmetology school and he said it sounds like a
good idea because I have nice hairπŸ’πŸ½ and then that night ((we having
been trying to meet with this lady named Maria but she was in the
process of moving so we "dropped" her because we hadn't seen her for
two months and she told us she'd call us when she has time)) we met
with Maria! Cool story about her, she was living with her mother in
law who was straight catholic and just would fight everything we say.
She moved into her own apartment and she called us to come visit her!
We had a super awesome tranquilo lesson with her, it went really well!
And then after we went and helped a lady in the ward with her English
homework and we were talking ((it's common to rent spare rooms to
random people here in spain)) and this guy that is living with her
comes home and she introduces us and he sooo wants to learn more! He
took a Book of Mormon and we have a ndh tonight!!!! Thursday
miracles!!!!!! And then Friday we saw Denise again!  She is doing
really good and we had a really good lesson with her. Sunday we met
with Rosi ((We lost contact with her for a while)) rosi is preparing
for baptism! Last time we met with her she accepted baptism and
yesterday she asked us who brings the white clothes!!! More
miracles!!! Basically right now LeganΓ©s is just full of miracles.
Things are good. Life is good. Oh one other thing. Linda got a job!!!
And she doesn't have to work on Sunday!! The biggest miracle of all.
Love you all!!!

D&C 11:20

¡Hola familia!

Let me tell you this week and a half have been crazyyyyy. So up until
Friday it was pretty normal. We had some really good lessons with
recent converts and investigators, basically poco a poco with them!
But Friday we had the opportunity to serve!!!!((serving on the mission
is the best idk)) anyways, so friday from 12-6 we volunteered at a
food bank(there was supposed to be 6 missionaries but nobody else
showed so it was just me and HW helping). Anyways so all day we were
filling people's shopping bags with free food! It was actually really
fun but super tiring-lots of lifting. I was really grateful for the
opportunity to serve and it was a great opportunity to share the
gospel because the people in charge were just some random people who
were really interested in what we were doing here as missionaries! And
then Friday night we get home, getting ready for bed when we get a
call from the Elders. They forgot the keys and had locked themselves
out of the piso. So they needed our key to the church. Yes Friday
night the Elders spent the night in the church hahahahahahaha. And
then Saturday was just normal, well we went to the church in the
morning to do something and there were some jas setting up for a party
and they needed help, another opportunity to serve! And then Saturday
night we were on the renfe(above ground metro) and we came to our stop
and I got off but HW got confused and didn't get off we were seperated
for a couple minutes, good thing we had a comp bond because I just
stayed put while she caught a renfe back it was really scary but we're
both ok haha. And then Sunday was stake conference(spain is really
good at not ending reunions on time). And Sunday night, another
opportunity to serve! The relief society has a sister who's brother is
in the hospital so we all went to visit him and then we went to the
spiritual homecoming party of a missionary in our ward, and it was
really spiritual it was awesome, I wish more people had gone.
Jeison(the rm) talked about how he was menos activo before the
mission, but one day the missionaries stopped him on the street and
that's when he became scared for the  welfare of his soul. I couldn't
believe he was ma at one point in his life, he is sooo strong now! It
strengthened my testimony of menos activo work and the plan of
Salvacion. A couple of other people spoke about how his example has
blessed their lives, it was really good. Monday we saw a not pday
miracle! So the other day we were waiting at the bus stop and this
guys walks up and he's like "Mormons?" and I was like "oh great here we go
again" πŸ™„ but turns out he's taken the discussions in his country and
so we met with him Monday and he is so excited to meet with the
missionaries again! He asked us to reactivate him! So that was
basically our crazy week, it was a super fun week and the temple was
awesome today! Well love you all lots!!!!
