¡Hola familia!
¿Come estan? Sounds like you all had a very spiritual experience at
church Sunday! Here's my two cents: yesterday in consejo (the thingy
where all th leaders meet) Bishop showed us all a vídeo of Elder
Bednar, and it Was about being an agent not an object and that
reminded me of when he spoke to us, he talked about being an agent not
an object. So take what you learned and act on it so you can be an
agent! Anyways, church was good yesterday and then after we went home
with the Alvarez family and Hermana Alvarez taught us how to make
empanadas, holy cow🐄 they are sooooo good, the best things I have
ever eaten. And the baptisms with Alejandra were amazing! She was so
happy and so excited and it was just amazing! A lot of recent converts
came and it was super cool. This week we had zone training, I got a
letter from mom! Yay and Davis' pic of Carson🤗. Anyways, there is this
girl and she is so hesitant when she speaks Spanish, it's kinda
painful so I've decided that even if I don't know what to say or how
to say it just try my best and act confident! Also, I think I am
getting better and I'm understanding everything basically. Also, I
don't know if I told you about Margaret, but we received her reference
from other hermanas and they said she was menos activo and so that's
what we thought and we taught her and turns out she's not a member but
her whole family is and she has been meeting with the missionaries and
never has gotten baptized. Her family (her kids, husband, mom and dad)
are still in Ecuador and she has been here for 4 years working but she
is going back at the end of September. But when we met with her a
second time, I was like bearing my testimony and then she was
like yeah I know it's true and we were like why aren't you a member
then and she said that she feels something is missing. So our goal is
to figure out what's missing so when she returns home, she is ready
for baptism. Anyways, sounds like dad and Derek both gave really good
talks! Hopefully copies can get sent my way.... Well have a good week...Love you all!!

Zone
Kea and other missionaries in her zone were able to take recent converts and go to the temple and perform baptisms IF they had their own family names to take. Thanks to Mel, Kelci and dad Kea was able to perform baptisms for 12 ancestors with recently baptized Alejandra. Such a special day!
Thank you Alvarez's for the delicious Empanadas!
