D&C 110

 ¡Hola familia!

How was everybody's week? How was the weather this week? Today and yesterday
were perfect, sunny, warm and blue skies but other than that, this
week I don't think it stopped raining😅 This week I feel like I got my
heart ripped out of me!!!! We saw Omer Tuesday and we invited him to
come to church and he said he can't and he explained to us that he
stays up all night partying and 10 o clock church is just too early
for him. We explained that if he wanted answer he was going to have to
come to church and he said he would think about it. So we saw him
again Thursday and right after we sat down before we could say
anything or anything he told us he didn't want anything to do with the
Mormon church😭💔 that really was just the worst feeling. We are going
to call him this week and see if that's still the case. We don't know
what happened but I hope he continues reading and praying so he can
feel the spirit and really want to enjoy the blessings this gospel
brings. We also saw Deisy this week, she said she would come to
church, but didn't. I scored 2 goals in soccer this week!!!!! You
could say I'm a pro. At zone conference president told us to evaluate
the activities we do. The whole time I've been in A Coruña I've been
wondering if soccer and Zumba were really helping us with anything. So
I had been praying about it and we didn't go to Zumba, and that night
we got 7 people in the street who gave us their number!!!!! That's a
lot, especially for like an hour! So I guess I got my answer there!!!
The people of a Coruña are very stubborn, they don't like to talk to
us. This week for pday we went to the torre de hércules, it's a light
house and it was on the beach so that was Cool and fun! One more week
of this transfer and I'm one transfer in the field! Crazy! Well love
you all!!! Read your scriptures say your prayers😊

Mosiah 4:9-12

¡hola familia!

This week I had two cool experiences. First I saw a miracle, a miracle
of God's timing. So there is a less active lady named Soledad and she
lives far away from us kinda by the church and one day we were at the
church and our lesson failed and we didn't know what to do so we
decided to stop my Soledad cause we were out there already! We had
tried like once before and she wasn't home and we can never get a hold
of her. So we walked to her house and rang her piso and her son popped
his head out the window and he said his moment was home and right as
he was supposed to pull his head back in a lady came waving down the
street Soledad! This was a miracle because neither of us have met
Soledad so if she wasn't waving at her son, we would have never known
it was her! And like two seconds would have made a difference, like so
perfect was the timing. Another story, we had a lesson with Omar,
remember him? But we went over and he was like I prayed and I haven't
received an answer. He said, I said God is the Mormon church true and
then I payed in my bed for one, two, three, four even five minutes and
no answer! He also told us he was expecting something like Joseph
smith or something so we explained to him. But Omar is really cool and
I am praying for the best for him! We haven't had the chance to meet
with Yanet this week but sad story, Loli's husband won't let us come
over anymore! Juan Carlos and his family want to move to america
because they just aren't doing well in Spain I guess and they asked us
for help and we don't know what we can do to help them so I'm worried
about what's gonna happen, I will continue to pray for them! We met
with Deisy, finally, this week! She didn't come to church but she
wants to meet with us this week! Soledad came to church too! Omar
couldn't but we will keep trying!

We had exchanges this week so I was in Santiago with a sister training
leader and let's just say, because of that I love a Coruña even more.
There is just not a lot of work in Santiago and only 30 people in the
branch. One of which is Tyler haws. So that's cool other than that
it's just a lot of finding and the people there really aren't nice. I
had fun with Hermana Bingham but glad to be in Coruña.

This week I learned that my natural man is a lot stronger than me. I
am just really disappointed in myself this week. Whenever I was cold
or hot or hungry or tired of walking or mad cause I don't know Spanish I would always be in a bad mood and just not want to work. I would be lazy and in a bad mood and unhappy. Because of this I was unhappy a lot this week and really wondering if I am "missionary material" or if I can even do this and be successful because I didn't have the spirit with me at all this week and we all
know you are unsuccessful without the spirit. I am really grateful for
general conference because how many talks talked about how we can be
forgiven and that no matter what God loves us. I am grateful for Jesus
Christ and the atonement and the power I have to overcome last week
and try hard this week and make it better.

Today for pday we went to like the top of the city or something, idk
what it's called but we saw all of the ocean and a Coruña and it was
beautiful! There was also some huge cannons up there that were pretty
cool. Maybe you could google them or something because idk what they
are called but they were cool!

Love you all so much!!!! Say your scriptures and say your prayers!

If we live with grace, we will then be saved by grace

April 4, 2016

¡hola familia!

¿Como estan? How was conference weekend? What was your favorite talks
from conference? I don't think I have a favorite, they were all good!
We watched the morning ones live which was super cool! We watched
Saturday morning, Saturday night, we played soccer Saturday morning
and I scored a goal!!!!!!! You could say I'm gettin pretty good at
soccer😎 anyways Sunday we watched the women's, Saturday afternoon and
Sunday morning, live! We watched Sunday night today for pday. Some
cool things stuck out to me that made me think of you guys!

This week was really good! Zone conference as really good, we talked
about finding people and I have trying to not let Spanish get in the
way of me talking to people. Also this week, we have 3 new
investigators! They are like from members which is awesome! First is
Yanet, she lives with our menos activos Yalqulin. We went to teach
Yalqulin and we invited Yanet to listen (we changed course quickly and
decided the first lesson would benefit both of them) and Yanet was
super interested and said she would read! I am excited to visit her
again this week and see how that went! Our next is Omar. Omar is a
reference from Andrea and Amamble they are mom and daughter and recent
converts. Omar is very sick. He can't really eat or drink anything
because recently something happened to his lungs because he smoked so
much in his life. He is 18 and his situation is really sad. He is
looking to change his life for the better and this gospel is perfect
for him! He came to a baptism the elders had this weekend and he liked
it, he couldn't stay for conference because he can't be out to long
and had to take some medication. The third new investigator is Loli,
she is a reference from our other investigators Dulce and Jesus!!!
First this quick story, so we were meeting with Dulce and Jesus one
last time to talk about like dropping them and all that and if they
we're gonna change and we were talking about Jesus and the atonement
and all of a sudden Dulce(the wife) just was like I can't lie to you
guys, like you are representives of Jesus and she told us that
Jesus(the husband) is like abusive to her and we don't know what to do
now) anyway at the end of our lesson with Dulce and Jesus we asked if
they new anybody who would be interested and they gave us there
neighbor, Loli! So we went and knocked on her door and she let us in
and we taught her the first lesson and she said she would read and
pray and we are visiting with her tonight! We couldn't meet with
Vicky, again. But we met with Deisy and she still wants to be baptized
so, I will keep praying for her!

This week I ate heart, it was really good. I didn't find out what I
was eating until after I ate it. This girl after conference gave all
us missionary some meat on a stick after a session of conference and
it looked normal and tasted normal and I told her thanks it was really
good and the she was like its heart! And I was like no way and she was
like I couldn't tell you before or else you wouldn't have eaten it!

I forgot! At zone conference I got to stay in a hotel and oooooohhhh
myyyyy. There was 3 girls in a room and I got my own bed and it was
the best😜 but the breakfast ooooohhhh myyyyyy goooodnessss bessstttt
thing everrrr. All the pastries and cheeses and breads and juices and
it was so good. It was like a dream😍😍

It's been really rainy here, good thing I have rain boots!!!! Love you all!! Pray, read your scriptures!!!
