Hola familia!!

Sounds like it was a fun week with lots of snow!'it's cold here, but luckily no snow😛 so conference was good, we talked about faith and how we need to believe that there are people prepared in our areas, it was good and we did a gift exchange and it was fun. So that night we had a lesson with one of our investigators Luis. His wife usually isn't home at night so we usually meet outside. We called a member that lives right by him and she wasn't home to help us. (It was like 10 minutes before, we didn't know if we were gonna have the lesson or not zone conference went long) anyway, so we usually meet him by the bus stop and we were walking and was like it's so cold I hope a miracle happen and his wife is home, and we were like across the street and he was like hermanas come on, my wife's home. God listens to our little prayers😊😊😊😊 and we had a really good lesson with them, that was the first time we had met his wife and she had taken the lessons in prayers and was just looking for that peace again, it was definitely a miracle lessson😁 Wednesday was good, we had another lesson with my fav fam😊😊😊 they are doing great, we invited them to baptism they said they would think about it, but they came to church and the Christmas party and they loved them both!!!! Thursday, we had a choir concert, it was fun. Friday, we met with Eloisa and she gave us scarves!!! She is the cutest! Saturday was the Christmas party and it was a huge hit! It went till 11 but we left at 9:30 to get home on time🤓 there was a mini talent show to start off, and then we ate some good food, it was fun, and santa came!!! And then yesterday was church and it was good and we had a choir concert it was good, I'm tired of singing the same songs but we have one more. I will just enjoy it! Love you all!!! Have a good week and see you on Christmas, enjoy your holidays!

John 3:16-17

querido familia

well not much has happened in these last couple of days.. thats actually a lie we were pretty busy. so we had two choir concerts one thursday, it went really well it was really successful i think. and the spirit was super strong, it was crazy and tons of people in sol but i just felt at peace. and the second one, the app weren't there yet so i just contacted to all of the people, that was fun, it reminded me of the park days and its just super easy to contact like that because they are listening to the music, they took the bait haha. we are singing tomorrow at zone conference and i think again but i can't remember. there are sooo many people in sol and i got my abono(my card to get on all the metros) and agenda swiped out of my pocket. but i got a new abono so all is well. and intercambios were fine, nothing too special. yesterday was the primary program, it was the cutest thing, oh my. i decided i was never going to a single ward again cause then ill have to miss the pp, hahah jk but not really, it was precious. so the other thing that happened this week is we met with the cutest little fam! they are soooo amazing. so we went over wednesday night. there is a mom and a dad and the dads brother is in our ward and he was the one who referred us and he has a son who just got back from his mission. and then there are three kids. 12, 9 and 7. and the two little ones participated  in the pp yesterday. anyways, the lesson was super goooood. they really look up to joel, their cousin, and he is a rm so he knows everything. so he was really good at like keeping them under control and then leading it back. we gave them all their own book of mormons and they all are so excited to read! and they come to english class, the kids are really good at english. Leganes has just been a different adjustment and not my fav area but as long as this fam is here all will be well, they are the cutest and the best and i really feel like i was called here for them. today we went bowling as a district and it was really fun. tomorrow is zone conference. and we´ll see how the rest of the week goes. also do you remember that movie that takes place in spain where they kill the president and then you watch it from all the different peoples point of view? my comp says its called vantage point, where does it take place? i think we might have sang there last night but i can't be sure...  anyways love you allllllllll have a good week, love you!

Moroni 10:5

¡Hola familia!

Wow, this week has been... high medium. We had a lot of highs and some lows. It was different than normal, in a good way. Ok so Tuesday, pretty normal day. Wednesday, we met with Chris and we ended up dropping him because he said he's basically never gonna read the Book of Mormon because the one time he read it he felt bad... he just doesn't have the true intention, sad. Thursday, #IluminaElMundo day 1!! So in the morning we went over to this menos activos house and we read the scripture for that day with her and she ended up just complaining about the ward and it was annoying, people like to throw their problems on us... don't do that to the missionaries. And then we ate lunch with this lady and we asked her for a reference and she told us to come over Saturday and we did and she brought a friend, YAY for member references. And then Thursday night to launch of #IluminaElMundo there is a member who takes care of her dying brother and works and loves Christmas decorations but doesn't have time to put them up so HP and I and the elders went over and bought decorations and decorated her house! We taught #IluminaElMundo to another menos activo and she was like should be doing that everyday, YES but are you? And then she continued to talk about how she doesn't like the church and the people in the church, more problems🙄 so we just left. Friday at clases de ingles a member came with his sister and her kids, they were the cutest and not member, we have have a lesson with them tonight! Saturday we helped nancy(who is blind) clean her house! It was fun, she's such a nice lady! And then we ate lunch with a member we ate fish but it was so fried all it tasted like was salt. And then we had that member reference lesson😁😁😁 and Sunday was a really good testimony meeting, it was really centered in Christ😊 and then Monday we had a ndh with a member and her not member husband and we talked about Christmas and they made the nativities and LOVED THEM❤️️ the ones you sent me mom. And their mom lives with them and she is in the rs pres and we asked if she had anyone we could visit and she gave us this lady and we passed by and wow it was so perfect, I explained more in a letter, long story short her health is bad and her daughter doesn't talk to her and she's stuck at home and she really appreciated our visit! She was really nice it was nice. Yesterday I ate liver and heart with our investigators IT WAS SO GROSS. Anyways, that's a quick run down of the week, love you all! Proud of you and your efforts for ilumina el mundo! Have a good week!

Alma 26:27

Hola familia!
My thanksgiving was fun, the food was horrible though. Let me tell you, a potluck thanksgiving dinner with a bunch of missionaries does NOT workout. Our district was in charge of the main dish so we were like (there are 4 companionships in my district) so we were like ok two of us can bring chicken(bc spain doesn't have turkey) and the two of us can bring mashed potatoes. So we brought a rotisserie chicken and the elders made mashed potatoes and the other elders in our district decided to bring drinks and cake. So we had one chicken and a bowl of mashed potatoes. 18 people, so hermana penner and I ran and bought two more chickens. HAHAHAHA good thing this is only happening once. At least it was fun. But at zone conference we talked about #IluminaElMundo o sea #LightTheWorld and let me tell you I'm STOKED, and the ward is now stoked and we are just going around sharing it with everybody we can can because we can make this Christmas great for ourselves and for others and we can truly find Christ this Christmas, and I love the video it's so good and shows that we really can become like our Savior. Hmm, let's see what else happened this week, Chris told us he doesn't want to read the Book of Mormon so we are going to have to drop him, that's really sad. I was reading in PMG and it said that this gospel is either true or it isn't. Like we are either crazy or we are going to be saved and becoming Gods and Goddesses, don't be stubborn and lose out. Ugh it's so frustrating pero bueno. On the bright side we ate with Nancy and Moises yesterday, some members here, and let me tell you, they treat us like Goddesses. They made us salad, pumpkin soup, bread, fish, rice, fried egg plant(which was delicious but gave me some weird diarrhea) and fresh orange juice. I was stuffed but happy. Did I mention Nancy was blind? Yeah, she did all that blind and it was delicious she is the best and the sweetest women everrrrr. I also ate fried squid with another member, gross. My comp likes it though so she ate it all, que suerte. This ward is filled with like little old Spainard women who are either widows or their husbands are not members and they loveeee to feed us, it's nice and they are so crazy and funny and sweet they just never stop talking and you never know what you are gonna get to eat🙊. What do the sister in your ward do when they are not teaching? We don't have anything we go talk to people on the streets but you can't really do that, hmm every mission is different. As far as our other investigators... poco a poco. People are stubborn must be that Moroni 8&9, and lazy. anyways, love you all!!!! GO BOMBERS💛💚💛💚💛💚💛💚

Alma 14:28

!hola familia!
well... Leganes. it is definitely not A Coruna or barrio 8... i think it will take some time before it grows on me. Like all areas there are amazing people. Let me start with one of the first I've met that instantly fell in love with. Eloisa, she is probably about 76 and is a spainard women baptized about 6 months ago. She is just the amazing and nicest little lady. Her faith is an example for all of us. She is just the cutest and i will have to take a picture with her so you can all see her. Also let me explain what i learned this week about being an agent and not an object. So we have two investigators. First let me tell you about one of them, Christopher. He is 20 years old and just recently moved here from somewhere in Africa. Anyways, Chris is a man of GREAT faith. He reads the bible everyday and really strives to learn God´s word and do God´s will. So we introduce to him the Book of Mormon. We invite him to read it. He doesn't read it. We ask why, he explains thats he's never heard of it and we have the bible so we don't need another book, he told us he's been talking to a prophet in his country and that he's never heard of the Book of Mormon, its something new and that we have the Bible. First off, why are you asking your prophet and not God? So we asked why he reads the bible, to learn about the word of God. And i literally promise you, i bore the strongest testimony that the Book of Mormon is the word of God too, i literally in that moment have never felt the Book of
Mormon to be more true.  And do you know what happened? He said its not true because the Bible is the word of God!!!!! I was crushed and frustrated. So then i made him kneel down and pray to ask God, and he said an amazing prayer, he really wants to do God´s will and so he prayed for that and about the Book of Mormon and the Spirit was there and we left him with that, so now we will see what happens. Let me tell you about another investigator, Sara. She has had a really dark past that caused her to turn on her religion (catolica) so we taught her about the santa cena and the importance of Jesus Christ and the Atonement. So we invited her to church. Do you know what she told us? that she is just looking for the true church and therefore won't come. LADY, LET ME PUT SOMETHING IN YOUR BRAIN. You are never gonna find the true church, if you don't go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I literally promised Chris and Sara all the blessings God has to offer plus more if they will just read the Book of Mormon or come to church and yet they still choose not do. DONT LOSE BLESSINGS FROM GOD AND DOING WHATS RIGHT FOR YOUR LIFE BY BEING STUBBORN AND STUPID. Ok that's what i learned this week. Also lets talk about church. soooo i'm like chilling saying hi to everybody and the second counselor introduces himself and he's like hey to welcome you to the ward you are going to lead music, i was like haha ok but i don't know how acting like it was a funny joke because that what he was acting like it was. Ssure enough guess who leads the music? Lets talk about how i don't know how to lead music and it was horrible and now the ward hates me. And then, the sunday school teacher didn't show up, so do you know who out of the blue had to teach sunday school? leganes is great though!!!! HP is actually super cool. We really get along. She is very sarcastic so we are sarcastic together, we should probably turn that into optimism though, hahaha. i'm actually having a lot of fun in leganes and i know once i get to know the ward better i won't want to leave. Thats about it for this week✌ love you all!!! have a good week!!!!!! Skype in five weeks!!!! (literally not counting just know its at the end of the transfer).

Alma 7: 11-14

hola familia!

well, probably the saddest thing happened to me this week. i was transferred out of b8. its sad but i knew my time had come. even sadder than that is b8 hermanas got shut down. there were just more hermanas going out than coming in and b8 got shut down. we are all so sad. it was definitely very hard but i am in Leganes. it is still in madrid. but i am so excited to be here! ive heard great things about this area!!! my new companion is hermana penner. she is awesome, this is her third transfer in the mission. she is from san diego has very nice hair and super sweet and funny and always laughing! it is going to be a great transfer! also we get to Skype this transfer!!! im stoked but thats not till the end so i will focus until then. well here in Leganes there is a mall that has an apple store so i am currently emailing on a mac😁 BLESSED anyways my last week in b8 was good. i made marta banana bread and we decided to take it to her before district meeting and we just expected to drop it off and tell her we love her  but she had time to meet!!!!!!! we passed her on to the elders and we know they will take great care of her. i ate empanadas at the alvarez family again aka heaven. and i forgot pday was last wednesday so not much has happened other than the switch. anyways it was very sad the way things ended in b8 but i know God has a plan for that barrio and all the people we were teaching and i know that i have work to do here in leganes. im excited!! well have a good week love you all!!!!!!

Mosiah 24:13-14

¡Hola familia!
This week was super good! And I had an awesome birthday! I ate cake three times in one day.. so hermana Bates made me frenchtoast for breakfast and then the morning was normal and then we went to lunch with the De la Cruz family and they made me a cake and lasagna and then we went to sports where lisbeth brought me a surprise cake and then after we went to Dora(she's my mom here in B8) and she threw me a surprise party!!!!! She is so nice and hermana Bates bought me flowers which was nice, and I got my birthday package I was a little bit confused but I am excited to make the cake and the nativity and it's a good idea to use for fhe! We saw a miracle this week. Do you remember our investigator deisy? Well we had a lesson with her and she suprised us with a friend! Her friend is spainard, and she is really looking for peace, we met with her Sunday and we are excited to meet with her again this week, and she is super excited to come to church! She seems super promising and seems willing to do anything she asks us. All our investigators are being kinda flojo, deisy hasn't come to church, Francisco failed us like three times this week and didn't come to church. 🙄 the temple was super awesome today, I felt like the world is about to go down in flames but we have nothing to worry about because we have this gospel and Gods promises. And then we played sports. And it's been a good week.
Ok love you all have a good week!!!!

Hola familia-

Ever since school has started here in Spain things have been a little
bit slow. But nevertheless this week was good! So Friday and Saturday
we helped this recent convert and her family move. We put all her stuff in suitcases and then carried them on the metro to her new apartment, dumped them out took them back filled them up and did it over again. We did this four times, and we got stuck in a elevator🤗 IT WAS SO SCARY. But I'm alive so that's all that matters. Also, this week I don't remember what happened. The pueblo find was a fail, it was just rejection after rejection. The bishop gave us this women he wanted to go visit and we found them (her and her little
sister) and they are so cute and fun!! I am excited to work with them
and help them come back to church! Anyways that's all I can remember.
Have a good week!!!! Love you all!!!!

Oh yesterday we were in a lesson with the elders and we were talking
about sacrifice and we watched the end of the Joseph smith movie where
Emma asks Jospeh if God ever asks to much, and I really liked it
because a lot of times we wonder whyyy things are happening but I
thought God sees us as we can become so imagine how much we can grow
if we sacrifice for Him! Ok love you all!!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

¡Hola familia!

This week was kinda slow and the weather has officially changed! It
rained alllllll week and it's cold. Also, I'm gaining sooo much weight
in B8, we got fed everyday last week for lunch and people feed us
whenever we go to there houses, it's not good. Anyways, so this week
well the ward had like a ward carnival Saturday and it was super fun!
B8 is a superrr fun ward, reminds me a lot of candy mountain!
Fransisco is doing really good! We had a lesson with him yesterday and
he is progressing so much, he has really come to love the Book of
Mormon. Paqui said she didn't want to get baptized because she was
baptized in the Catholic Church for her parents and she doesn't want
to "turn" on them. We are going to have to work on that. Today we went
to the zoo and it was superrrr fun! It was a super awesome
zoo!!!!!!!!!! My favorite was the owls and white tiger😁😍 anyways,
love you alll!!!!

1 Nefi 15:8

¡Hola familia!

This week was pretty good. We had zone training and I got my bday package already, no I haven't opened it. It was really good, we talked about questions we usually have about baptism and how Christ is our companion, it was good. And then after we had intercambios and it's always fun to just follow someone around🙂 so with Francisco we decided to wait another month for his baptism. This week we found a new investigator named Deisy, she is so prepared she knows it's all true and she reads everyday just something about her boyfriend can't get married. But missionaries previously taught her and then she went to her country for like 6 months and now she's back so we picked her up! I finished the Book of Mormon in Spanish for a second time this week and I'm going on round three✌🏽️ I learn so much everytime! And I can tell my Spanish is improving because I can understand almost everything! Also cool little story about prayer, Monday night ALL our plans had failed, and I was not about to contact the whole night. So I cried our Heavenly Father please bless us with something to do, and then I opened my planner to the page we had weekly planned for and I saw rocios (investigator) name and so I called her up and she could meet and we had a really good lesson with her. So that was cool, God answers our prayers.

Love you all!!! Have a good week!!!

!hola familia!
Well I didn't go to the zoo today, everybody bailed😭 maybe next week? We played soccer today. Anyways, this week was superrrr busy. We saw Paqui, she is having lots of problems with work so we are trying to just teach her the gospel so she can be happy! We needed to get Marta's signature for Alejandra's baptism registro so we passed by her, she was really happy to see us she is just veryyyyy busy with work right now🙃 Also, we found a new investigator and we've met with him three times, his name is Jose and he is GOLDEN! We asked him to read a chapter in the Book of Mormon and he read it and new exactly what happened, and one day we read the introduction with him of the Book of Mormon and he just wanted to keep reading and reading! We finally met with the Russian girls! They came to clases de ingles and so after we just talked with them and they are really excited to learn more! They are great! Yesterday church was at 5 in the night because there was stake conference in the morning for another stake and that was really weird but we ate spaghetti with the American fam and it was so bomb. Fransisico is good, he's being weird. Anyways, that's the exciting parts of my busy week! Things are going great in B8!!!!!!

¡Hola familia!

How was everybody's conference weekend??? Mine was good! I watched it
all in English at the church. So Saturday I watched the women's (loved
the First Ladies talk and loved loved LOVED president uchtdorf's) and
after we watched Saturday morning live. Sunday I watched Saturday
night and then Sunday morning live and today for pday I watched Sunday
night. Loved the story of the guy who didn't listen to the spirit 3x
but God ALWAYS listens to us, so grateful for Him and His patience and
mercy. I also loved Robert D. Hales, "if I love Him more, will I hurt
less?" Love that❤️. there was so much good others. What was everybody
else's favorite???? Basically in a nutshell, I need to have more
faith, trust in God, I would like to hear what you guys learned! Anyways, this
week was fine. Nothing too special, we just decided to push
Fransisco's baptism back a week because that will give us all another
week to prepare which I think is good. Anyways, nothing else. Love you
all!!!!! Have a good week!!!!

Helaman 10:1-5

Hola familia!

Good for Connor bell! Way to be an example for all the other boys his age! Give him this advice: become a preach my gospel missionary BEFORE you even get to the mtc. So many people don't even know what preach my gospel says. My companions don't even know what it says!!!!How can you be a preach my gospel missionary if you don't know what it says? Get in the habit of reading it everyday, do the activities and read the scripture boxes. This is when you will really learn by the spirit. Along with that, know the lessons before you leave on your mission. In preach my gospel it says study the lessons first in your native language, and then the mission language, you will do yourself a huge favor if you know the lessons before you get to the mtc. Really, our mission did a survey of a lot of questions and president informed us that less than 52% of missionaries are using preach my gospel everyday. I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT.

Ok this week was GREAT!
To start off, we helped a lady in our ward move!!! Yay service! She was moving pisos so we had to walk all her stuff from one piso to another because we can't take suitcases on the bus and she didn't have a car. So we made three trips of walking stuff across Spain it was kinda a pain, but I love to serve!

Second, Eliana was baptized about a year and a half ago and has never gone to the temple because things have always come up. So this week we did everything we could to get her to go to the temple with President Ppack and it worked out and it was great! We all got to go and do baptisms and Eliana is anxious to go back to do the work for her mom!

Third, our activity was AMAZING. We did a iron rod activity where people had to walk around holding on to the rope through the church. So first they followed the rope downstairs where there was a food temptation, there was toothpaste stuffed Oreos and salty cookies and gross drinks and candy covered in garlic. It was also so gross and so many people failed in temptation, and then they followed the rope upstairs where people were playing ping pong and video games as a temptation. And al final, they followed the rope downstairs to the celestial kingdom. There was over 100 people and lots of non members everybody loved it and it was a great activity and everybody told us how much they loved it!

Fourth, yesterday we saw two crazy miracles! First we have this rule that we have to talk to 25 people a day, it's kinda hard. But yesterday before our lesson with Francisco we had about 15 minutes and this was all our time we were going have to contact so I knew I wasn't gonna get my 25, usually I would sit on a bench and wait but I decided to contact anyway and take advantage of the time I had. There was two girls walking in front of us and they kept turning around and staring at us, and then all of a sudden they stopped us and they were like "you guys do free English class right? We want to learn more!" So we got both their numbers and they are super cool!!! And then our lesson with Francisco we were outside on a bench and his friend rode by on his bike and said hi to Francisco and Francisco asked him if his friend wanted to study with us! And he stayed and said he will live the law of tithing and wants to know more!!! Miracles are real!!! It was a great week!  Hope everybody is excited for general conference and is thinking of questions to get the most out of it!!!!!! Love you all!!!

Hola,

This week was ok. I don't really have a lot to write about, just
picked l*** everyday, almost done, fingers crossed. We got a new ward
mission leader, he's from Hungaria and doesn't speak Spanish...
Francisco still wants to get baptized on the 8th so that's pretty
exciting. Zone conference is tomorrow and I'm excited we are going to
talk about the Book of Mormon! I'm also probably gonna get fat bc
people have started feeding us like off the chizang I don't know why
but as long as it's good I don't complain. anyways that's my week in
the nutshell. Anyways love you all!!! Have a good week!!

Hola Familia!

This is my week in three bullet points.
1. I have lice
2. I had to eat ceviche(it was Ecuadorian so it was with shrimp, still gross)
3. After lots of calls trying to reach Paqui, we were unable to find
her so one day we decided to pass by her and she was home and she told
us that we always come when she needs us the most, that made me feel
good.

That was my week. Love you all!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ have a good week!!

Hermana Robertson😍

I left off 2 bullet points:

4. we told Marta she couldn't be baptized as long as she is living with
Jose, seemed to go fine until she didn't come to church and told us we
can't meet this week.
5. I ate liver💩

Still smiling after a week with lots of opportunities to grow!

Romans 1:9-12

¡hola familia!

Well, since Wednesday stuff has happened. So Thursday/Friday we had
intercombios and the park where we went to contact in the CCM is in
their area so we went contacting there! And let me tell you, I think
they pay the people In the park for the CCM because I only gave out 1
folleto. the people were just not havin us. And Friday afternoon (we
started his new thing where every Friday we play basketball or futbol
so people can bring their friends and is a fun finding activity)
Alejandra came to sports and told us her mom wants to be baptized!!!
So that's exciting and Saturday we had another pancake lunch with my
favorite family!!!! It was so delicious like always, great way to
start off the fast.😋 and Saturday night we met with Francisco and he
is amazing he is so prepared. He's the one whose dad just recently
died and he loves church and we invited to him to baptism and he said
yes!!!!! He has a slight problem with smoking, he hasn't smoked in a
month!!!! But he just wants to be sure. He loves church and the gospel
and it's just great and we are excited for him! And Sunday Marta and
him came to church, and Sunday we ate Costco pizza with the American
fam! And today we went to Sol(the center of Madrid) with the Alvarez
sisters, I spent more money, whoops sorry the clothes are just so
cute!!!!! Anyways that was my week, glad Carson Jay's blessing went
good! Looked really fun and awesome!!! Hope everybody is enjoying
school😏😏😏 love you all!!!!

2 Nephi 4:34-35

Note: Kea didn't email as usual on Monday, we have been waiting in suspense until today - she was able to go to the temple on Monday which postponed Pday! Happy day!

!Hola Familia!

Ok now starting with my week, so Monday night we saw a miracle!
So you know Paqui. Well she has three daughters, 18, 14 and 12 and
usually they are just in their room when we come over and last time we
visited Paqui we watched the 20 minute restoration video and so we
went over and she was like what are you gonna talk about about today
and we were like we have something special and she was like I want to
watch the video again with my daughters so we were like ok and we
watched the video with her daughters and they loved it!!!!!!! They are
super smart and right now they don't really believe in God because
their house started on fire a while back but Paqui explained faith and
it was a really good lesson and poco a poco they will progress😋 also
this week we found a new guy named Natalio, his wife died and he is
searching for happiness and we are here to show him the way! This week
we saw Robel from a Coruña! He is in town for a job interview and
while he was here we gave him a temple tour, super cool. This week
Alejandra invited her mom Marta to baptism and that was a super
spiritual moment until she said no! She said she just doesn't feel
prepared yet cause she has to work on Sunday sooo that is a road block
we are going to have to overcome. Also, I don't know if you remember
Fransisco(we've only met with him once) but we called him so we could
meet with him and and his dad died!!! So sad, we taught the plan of
salvation and it was so good he came to church the next day and loved
it, he will get baptized. Also, we found another investigator named
Julia, she is totally ready except she works on Sunday. Work is really
hard to find so when you have a job you have to keep it so if you work
on Sunday your stuck and it's a problem here. How blessed are we to
have jobs where we don't have to work on Sunday. Also the American
Fam(the Bouche guy that emailed Kelci) they moved into our ward and so
they fed us pancakes and bought us Costco muffins like to take home. I
have 6 chocolate muffins 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍. anyways that's a
nice little recap of this week, actually just found out, Esperanza
from a Coruña is going to Peru on her mission! I just saw her, she got
her endowments out last night!!!

Kea and other missionaries in her zone were able to take recent converts and go to the temple and perform baptisms IF they had their own family names to take. Thanks to Mel, Kelci and dad Kea was able to perform baptisms for 12 ancestors with recently baptized Alejandra. Such a special day!
Thank you Alvarez's for the delicious Empanadas!

Helaman 7:19 <--Be Good

¡Hola familia!

For a long week, not too much exciting happened. First off, the temple
today was AMAZING! I am so blessed to be so close and have a temple in
my mission! It was definitely a spiritual experience and I learned a
lot and felt the spirit the whole time. I know that this is Lords work
and that He has a plan for us and families can be together forever!!!

The other day we were walking and this lady stopped us and told us she was in B8 but we had never seen her, but she told us she served a mission and
everything she is super fiel but because of work it's hard for her to
come to Church, anyways we had called like everybody to help us with a
lesson that night and nobody could so we asked her and she could, and
she was amazing in the lesson! It was a great lesson about the plan of
salvation to a women who's husband recently passed away. Also, our
Romanian investigator, we met with her and she googled some stuff and
we went over and she just wanted to fight and it was very tense and
uncomfortable and I feel sorry for her, she could have just read and
asked God herself. Also, we are still meeting with Alejandra's mom and
they read the Book of Mormon together and she is so ready to be
baptized, she just can't come to church because of work so that is
really hard. We are still planning on going to the temple
with alejandra tomorrow and we are all soooo excited! I will print off
the names, thanks everybody for your help with those! Crazy that
grandpa is a great grandpa and I am really sad about his package too😭
I hope he is resending it👍🏽 and then he can send me another one
right after that for my birthday and then another one right after that
for Christmas😍🤗😛 how are his apples?????? Exciting to have Carson
home and glad everybody loves him, he's a ball of cuteness!!! Well
love you all!!! Have a good week, and go to the temple😊😊😊😊😊😊

HOLA

CARSON JAY WHITBY IS THE CUTEST BABY I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!
Felicidades!!!!! Glad everybody is healthy and ok!!!!!

Alejandra got baptized this week!!!! I am actually just like really
disappointed in the ward cause there was only three members
there😢😐 but the spirit was sooo strong and Alejandra was sooo
happy. It was amazing. Sounds like everybody has had a fun week! My
week was pretty good, not the best. It was really hot this week and my
companion complained like everyday and did not want to work I still
tried my best but it was just not a give it my all week. I read Nefi
and Laman and Lemuel and felt like Nefi, just keep pushing forward and
trusting in the Lord! So other than Alejandra's Bautismo, her mom is
ready and very excited to take the discussions, and Alejandra is very
excited for her too! Hopefully there will be another baptism in the
near future. we invited one of our investigators to baptism this week
but he is evangelist(I think that's what it is in English) and he
recently got baptized in that church and doesn't understand/doesn't
want to change, I believe, through the spirit, he will also be
baptized in the near future, he has desires to find Christ and well
through this gospel he can do just that! We also met with this other
lady, and she has mental problems and says like dragons are following
her and people and dark spirits are following her and pushing on her
head, she has really good intentions to follow Christ but if she is
mentally unstable, I don't know what to do😬 we also taught a Romanian
girl this week, I found her on the street one day. She was super nice
and she had so many questions it was good. I can't tell if she was
just curious or actually wanted to know, I could see her getting
baptized too, she is super cool. She is orthodox(I think that's what
it is in English) so we will see what happens. This week I ate Guinea
pig, it was pretty good, literally tasted like chicken. Also, last
Sunday we invited one of our menos activos (called her at like 9:30)
to church and we woke her up but she ended up coming but she was
really mad at us whoops😬 but then later that week we passed by her
and then she continued to yell at us, she was still mad about church
and I guess it's rude to go to people's houses at 5:30? She is a very
stubborn old lady hehe. I don't understand but her wish is my command,
just trying to save her soul😅 also the other night,  hermano Lopez(my
ccm teacher) helped us with a lesson(with a menos activa)  and haha,
he is such a good missionary. We learned a lot from him. All in all my
week had its pros and cons, proud of Alejandra and her decisions to
follow Christ!

For pday we just chilled because we are tired. Love you all!! Happy everybody had a good week!!!! Keep enjoying your summer, can't believe it's already august😱 LOVE YOU ALL😘

Happiness is the destination but it's also the path.

¡hola familia!

Como estan?  Well this week was really good! I have lots
in my brain I don't want to forget and so I am just gonna write what
comes to my head so I don't forget anything-sorry if it's a little
scattered.

First we had interviews in our piso and president pack took some
pictures and put them on Facebook so look up Cindy pack and then
pictures of me!!!!!(if you can't find them I have them but it is just
funny to see me on hermana packs Facebook) also interviews went really
well and they were very impressed with our piso. Also we have this
family, a mom and two girls and they are kinda menos activo so we
visit them lots(like ones a week) so we are good friends and they
invited us over for lunch and made us pancakes and bacon and eggs and
it was the best thing ever!!!!!!!(see pictures) also we had
intercombios this week and I worked with hermana Melton and I just
love her!! She is so cute and I learned so much from her!!!! One thing
I loved, you guys should try, is you watch the Thanks to Him video and
watch for the phrase or video that sticks out to you and then you talk
about it! It's super cool, everytime I watch it I learn something new,
just from the the phrase I chose or from somebody else! It's a
awesome, TRY IT. also Alejandra passed her interview and is getting
baptized Saturday!!!!!!! She is so excited and we are all so excited
for her!!!!!!!! She went contacting with us the other day and holy cow
she was a pro!!!!!! The first person she contacted she gave a Book of
Mormon to and she just testified and people just couldn't say no to
her! She is amazing! Also lots of pics this week and a nice video😉
anyways love you all lots!!!!!!

2 letters in 1 post

July 11, 2016
If at first you don't succeed, shut up. Succeed!
¡Hola Familia!

IM BEING TRANSFERRED! I can't believe it. My heart
is breaking. I do not want to leave A Coruña. But, it's the Lord's
will and I can have what I want or I can have something better. I
mean, I'm excited, just sad all at the same time. I am going to b8
(Barrio 8, the ward names in Madrid are like barrio 1-10 so like lakes
would be ward 1, candy mountain would be ward 2 if that makes sense)
good news and bad news, they meet in the church right next to the
temple(good news) and its right by the mtc too(bad news, I already
have been around there a lot and it will probably just make me miss
the mtc and HR even more!) so basically the center of Madrid. Right
now, Madrid is like +40 degrees Celsius, aka it's like 110 everyday. I
might die. I am with Hermana weever( American) who was HH's companion
in the mtc! I have yet to meet her, but have heard good things about
her! Anyways, it should be a sweaty, good time.

As for my week, it was a pretty good week! We had some service
opportunities this week. First off, one of the newly baptized lady in
our ward moved and she needed to clean up her piso. So all afternoon
Wednesday, all 6 of us missionaries in A Coruña, scraped mold off her
walls and repainted her piso. It was definitely an experience. I was
happy to help, I love serving! Also yesterday, another lady in our
ward was moving and she need help so we helped her pack up her stuff.
Yay, love service!!!! It was fun and it's always nice to do something
like totally different every once in a while!

As for the other work this week, we met this cool guy named Fernando
in the streets the other day and we met with him. He is like 60 and
he's pretty cool. We taught him the plan of Salvacion because he had
questions about all that and he was very interested. We also met this
other guy named Mario on the street one day and we met with him and
his wife this week. They are from Uruguay and super nice, they gave us
fresh squeezed orange and carrot juice, it was really good!! Maybe
Macy can drink that on her diet. Mario is open to new ideas but the
wife is Catholic and she says our religion is very beautiful, she
likes the things we teach but she's Catholic. That's something I don't
understand, people say that this gospel is beauty of and they know
it's true but they don't change.

Here's a funny more like traumatic story. don't let small children
read unless you want to explain what a prostitute is. So one time HC
and I were in a bathroom and this lady was like who are you guys what
are you doing and we were explaining and when we left HC was like that
was a prostitute, so then like a couple week later we saw her in the
street and we were like hi how are you being nice Misioneras. And then
yesterday HH and I saw her and she was like hi guess what I'm happy I
found love. And she was like do you guys have somebody to love and we
were like no and she was like that's cause you walk around looking
like nuns you gotta wear the short skirts like this and she
lifted up my skirt!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I felt violated and I think I need to
burn those garments now that a prostitute saw them.

Love you all lots!!!! Have a good week and dad have a good birthday!!!!

¡Hola familia!

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!!💥❤️💙❣

Well, my week was better! Monday night our lessons failed, I think I
am just going to have to expect busy people in the summer, so we were
off contacting. As we were making our way back home, I asked a lady if
she needed help with her groceries. She said YES (a miracle by itself).
Anyways, so we were walking and carrying her groceries and talking and
she is from Brazil and has never heard of The Church of Jesus Christ
of Latter-day Saints or the Book of Mormon! So we got to her
piso(apartment) and she invited us in and it was 10 and we have to be
home by 10:30 so we really quickly just explained the Book of Mormon
to her and gave her one and she was so excited!!!! So we are excited
to visit with her again!

Another crazy thing that happened to me is I went into my first gypsy
house! So whenever you teach a lesson we have these papers you have to
fill out, like what you taught and how it went, more about the person
and not everybody you teach gets baptized so we have binders of all
these sheets of people who have been taught at least once by the
missionaries. So we found a family that sounded good to pass by and so
we did. And the family was home(miracle!!!) and they were gypsies!
They were very nice but they speak Romanian because they are from
Romania so we have to teach very simply. Also they kept talking to
each other in Romanian in front of us hopefully not about us.

Other than that, this week was pretty normal. One of our menos activos
asked us for a chocolate chip cookie recipe but we only have a brownie
recipe so we gave her the recipe and made her brownies and they turned
out pretty good!!! As for the weather here, it's either super sunny
and hot or its cloudy and humid. Basically either way I just sweat all
the time. At least it stopped raining! But yes I carry around a water
bottle and fasting was so hard without water but yet again, I
survived. Well that's about all for this week. Wishing you guys a fun
filled week and enjoy your Fourth of July! Love you all
lots!!!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️
