Mark 8:38

Hola Familia-
This week was sooo uneventful. Literally every single lesson we set upfell through hahaha. But on the bright side zone conference wasgreat!!! Juan got baptized and I had the best paella of mylife!!!!!!!!!

Zone conference, we flew out Wednesday night and we stayed with someHermanas there and then after zone conference we had interviews andflew back to Santa Cruz. Zone conference was really good. We talkedabout really basic things, like the dress and grooming standards andstress and the Holy Ghost. It was good, and good to see pres and Hermanapack and all other missionaries. We were eating lunch((some super goodlasagna the married couple missionaries made)) and hermana Campbellwalks up to me, her and elder Campbell were late so i asked whathappened, she explained to me that they had a horrible morning((and itwas horrible like woke up at 5 to catch a boat only they had ticketsfor so they got there and were like sorry we meant to call you but youcan take the boat at 10, which was a smaller boat that goes faster andso hermana Campbell got super sea sick, poor people)) but she saidthat her day had been made! She said she got the nicest, sweetestletter and I was like that's great, and she was like it was from yourparents!!! What goes around comes back around, I guess.
Juan's baptism. It was amazing, better than Evelyn's, no. But close.
Paella. Remember those one people I told you about? The super catholichusband. Well they made us paella πŸ₯˜ it was delicious.
Sorry this is soo uneventful, praying for a better week. Anyways, I'llexplain the scrip. This morning I read a talk by pres hinckley fromApril 1979 called and peter went out and wept bitterly. I think we alllook at peter and are like, seriously, how could he deny Jesus? He isone of his apostles! But we all do!! Everyday. As the talk explains, Ihope we can all have enough self disciple to chose the right andfollow our Savior as true disciples.
Love you all, have a good week!!!!!

3 Nefi 11:33

Hola Familia!!!Anyways this week was kinda stressful with the baptism and all makingsure everything was perfect but it was alllll sooo worth it. Evelyn'sbaptism was literally one of the happiest days of my life, seeing herhappy and just feeling our Heavenly Fathers love for her. It was anamazing baptism and I am excited to start teaching her family!
(Too Much) Fried Chicken and the Good Samaritan. We are teaching thisfamily (almost a year ago their 20 year old daughter was baptized, sheis now living in the United States)((by family I mean mom and stubborncatholic dad)) and the dad is sooo catholic and doesn't want anythingelse but he lovesssssss feeding us. But we decided to just teach basicprinciples that we all agree on, so this week we taught the goodSamaritan. And it was awesome. We talked a lot about how a lot ofpeople say they follow Jesus Christ but how their actions sayotherwise. We also talked about charity-the pure love of Christ. Itwas good.
Also I don't remember what else happened this week. Today we went toCandelaria, a black sand beach and played uno in a cave!!!!
Ok, love you all, have a good week!

2 Nefi 10:25

Holaaaaaaaaa Familia
This week was pretty great! It went by so fast I can't even remember what happened. Ok, Monday night, we met with Roberto, idk if you remember the egg man in the elevator a while back. He is really interested and we have another lesson with him tonight! Tuesday we met with this investigator named Santi and we taught the plan of Salvacion and he was like "I don't believe in Adam and Eve cause to create us their kids would have to have kids together and then they would all have mental challenges" πŸ™„ and then Wednesday it was a holiday here so we played Uno at the church with the jΓ³venes and Thursday we went to this (pijo) investigators house and they made us ribs πŸ‘… it wasn't as good as dad's but I'll take what I can get at this point. This man wants nothingggg to do with the church but he lovessssss to cook for us and the mom wants to get baptized but the dad won't let her. 😒 He is super respectful and amiable but he is just stuck in his Catholic ways. Friday, Evelyn passed her baptism interview, pray that everything goes well this Saturday!!!!!!! And then we met with Cristina and she is the cutest and I love her. Saturday we had an autosuficiencia actividad, usually we probably wouldn't go but Elder Campbell said to at least greet people and then leave if their are no non-members but this ward is awesome and we met two wonderful future investigators, also the autosuficiencia actividad reallly got me thinking about the future, and I have a lot of questions and just trying not to think about it right now. Sunday was pretty chill, only Evelyn came to church. Had a ndh and the new elder just stayed in a different room and slept - haha - aka he's lame making his companion up tight all the time and they aren't fun to be around. We did go to the beach with them though, that was pretty fun, we convinced one of them to let us bury him, he didn't know what he got himself into, hahaha. We also played Uno, our district has a strange addiction to Uno right now. This beach was exactly like a beach from Mexico. I literally thought I was in Mexico. 'Twas a good week and reaping the rewards.
Love you alllllll ❤️

D&C 135:3

I finished the doctrine and covenants in spanish! Yayyyy also that scripture (D&C 135:3) is bombbb always remember the sacrifices that were made so you can be saved.
Querido Familia-
This week was pretty tranquilo, with hermana larsons bad ankle ((she is almost back to normal now and we have a full week ahead of us)) we didn't get out much. We tried to stay in the capilla. However we were able to get lots of carpeta(binder in Spanish) ((carpeta in mission terms: a binder full of records of past investigators. These investigators were stopped being visited due to: they weren't keeping commitments, they didn't have time, didn't want anything. You go through this every once in a while to see if you can find some people to teach, it's like giving them a second chance!!)) anyways we called a man from the carpeta and we met with him, he was dropped cause he didn't have time. But he has a super firm testimony in Christ he just can't seem to receive an answer so hopefully we can help him! Also Evelyn decided she wants to get baptized on the thirteenth of this month. Pray that everything goes smoothly! Today is Labor Day here soo we couldn't do anything, literally everythinggggg was closed. It's a ghost town today.
Sorry this is short, not much happened. This week should be exciting though!!!
