Another catch up post...

July 3 2017

Alma 48:17
Holaaa Familiaaaa
This week was pretty great. Wednesday was a super good day. We ate
with Catholic man, he made us some bomb fried chicken. It was super good, he made a ton though and he made us each so much, we're convinced we each at a whole chicken. After we shared a video about the important things in life, it was good. After we had a lesson with a JAS kid, he is friends with one of the JAS here, it was a good lesson. He is atheist but he says he's willing to read the Book of Mormon. After that we went to the church to have another lesson, the man ended up not showing up so our back up plan was to visit this less active family. Nobody has had success visiting them and the ward hasn't had contact with them all this year, but we felt like we needed to go. We did and we got there and there building was charred and there was a car just burnt out of its mind. Luckily, the door to the building was open((aka we could go straight up instead of having to doorbell them at the bottom)) and so we went up and lo and behold, they let us in. They explained what happened, how the night before in the middle of the night the car started on fire and how they all had to go to the roof and breathe through like wet rags and they said they were scared and that they need to start fulfilling with their convents and said would come to church!!!((sad news: they didn't come to church 😭)) Anyways it was huge miracle that we visited them when we did and huge miracle that we saw them. Just builds my testimony of planning and then following through with your plans, miracles happen. That was like the highlight of my week. Saturday night we had a little game night in the church with the jas and it was bomb, it was tons of fun. We have a new addiction! Around the world!! 🌎 where everybody has a ping pong paddle 🏓 and takes turn running and hitting it back and forth, it's super fun. Anyways it was a good night, but it makes me sad because i just love all these people and i don't want to leave them 😢 I'm thinking about moving back to Santa Cruz 🌊 🌴☀️❤ I'm literally so feliz right now!!!!!!!

Ok love you all have a good week!!!! HAPPY 4 TH OF JULYYY enjoy the fireworks 💥 🔥 today we had a little Fourth of July picnic with the campbells in the forest!!!! Also went shopping cause some bomb sales are happening, sorry.

MIRACLE OF THE WEEK: so this week we set up an appointment with erika and orianna at 430 and we went to their house and they werent home and we called and nodbody answered so we were a little dissapointed and moved on with our day and at 5:30 erika called us and was like where are you? arent you coming at 530 and *facepalm* because we literally at the doorway of our next lesson and the rest of our night was full. so thursday her other daughter that is 21 moved here from venezuela so she wanted us to come over friday morning to meet her and eat some hamburgers. right before we were about to leave erika texted us and was like its gonna be like 2 hours we have to go work on some paperwork, we´ll let you know when we are home. ok, no problem, she never texted us. how weird we thought. we tried calling her saturday to see what happened and see if she could come to church but no answer. dang. so that brings us to sunday, hj and i are standing at the door greeting people when erika and orianna and their other sister turn the corner!!!!!!!!!! we literally lost it. they were also ten minutes early which is a miracle in and of itself because not even the members can be on time, dang. week made.
also, week made when the Campbells took us and the elders and our ward mission leader all out to lunch after our little reunion saturday.
also week made when one of our lessons failed we decided to pass by some members and told us we came right when they need it and made us some of the best arepas of my life.
also week made at ndh. hj and i killed the lesson ((like always)) and then after the elders came in clutch with the game. so their was probably like 15 of us and we were all kneeling down around a ping pong table and you had to like blow the ball and if it rolled of the table in front of you were out, everybody loved it, it was hilarioussss. i will try to get some vids.
all in all, this week was one for the books. santa cruz is probably my #1 fav place in the world, yes the fact that its an island with beautiful beaches and forests and active volcanos is cool, also the perfect weather but most of all, what makes it #1 is the people. they are so willing to do anything for us, and me for them. i'm beyond grateful for my time year and i really am just going to try to make the most of these last two weeks. we have zone conference friday in another island friday which im excited for but i don't have time to be traveling right now. ok love you all!!!!!!!

Moses 5:6

Hola Familia,
I just hiked 10 km through a desert mountain 🌵 for pday. When the elders invite you to go hiking for pday, say no. Jk it was fun, and it's fun to see more of the island but I'm literally gonna be dead the rest of the week.
This week was good, pretty tranquilo. We just did a lot of preparation for the talent show. It ended up to be super good, it was kinda frustrating because we didn't have a lot of ward support, like 3 weeks ago a member from the bishopric kinda chewed us out because their goal is 20 baptisms a year and we've only had two and he told us it's our fault because we aren't having enough activities to bring their friends and he didn't even show up to the talent show? Also the bishop and relief society president didn't come, so I'm kinda frustrated about that, but the people that ended up coming loved it. Anyway, rant over. Our skit was we did a loro park show, so one elder was a sea lion the other was a bird hj was a dolphin and I was an orca it was really funny, we basically just made fool out of  ourselves but the people laughed.
Another highlight of the week, Erika told us she has been reading the Book of Mormon! She read it and had a lot of questions but poco a poco she has been progressing. She told us that before with the missionaries she wasn't really interested but after everything with her dad she is interested and really like the way she feels when she's at church, or with us, or praying or reading the Book of Mormon. Hopefully we will continue to see progress in her!
That's about our week, sounds like everybody at home is staying busy and enjoying summer! It's gotten really hot here in Santa Cruz, prepare yourselves...

Ok, love you all!!!!

Catch up post - we've been out of town

June 12, 2017
Mosiah 12:1
👆🏽I think it's funny, do you get it??
Hola Familia!
Para empezar, tengo buenas noticas y malas... GOOD NEWS: I will finish my mission here in Santa Cruz!!!🌴☀️BAD NEWS: this is my last transfer😭😭😭😭
Second off, I'm literally crying because I literally feel like it's 100 degrees only to find out that it's only 68, hahahaha I don't get it, it literally feels sooo hot yet it's not...
Third off, my week was good, i don't remember what happened. Went to Gran Canaria for intercambio, did some fun service there((we waited outside a grocery store and begged people for food for the local food bank, hahaha, I was surprised at how generous everybody was!!!)) we met with one of Evelyn's friends named Sergio this week, he came to her baptism and told us he was looking for the truth and we were like hey, we can help. Evelyn has been sharing her experiences a lot with him, and he has some potential. We visited a menos activo this week and she made us arepas, yum, and she put papaya and milk in a blender and called it a smoothie and it was disgusting, aka life is pretty great but not perfect here on the islands. Also, got a new comp, ANOTHER BLONDE, sos send help, jk I'll be fine, hermana jorgenson from California, she's cool 😎 we will be homies. Life is good here in Tenerife. Sounds like the craziness of summer has already began...
well, see you all soon. Have a good week!!!!!!! Love you all!!!

Mosiah 27: 10
Holaaaa Familiaaaa,
It has been quite the week! First hermana j is the bomb!! We literally have sooo much fun together, we are ALWAYS laughing, it's the best. The only problem is we stay up way later than we should just messin around and so we are always exhausted, haha, I guess it's a good problem to have, also very fixable, we'll see, haha.
Second thing about this week, WE FINALLY MET WITH EVELYNS FAMILY. it was quite a miracle, ok ok I'll tell the whole story. Sooo, Tuesday we had a lesson planned with a single man, and we were going to meet in his house, aka we needed another women, Monday night i literally called everybody and nobody seemed to be able to help. Usually Evelyn can't help during the week but I thought I would give it try, I called she said ok. So we are waiting for her at 8 at the church like we had planned when she calls and tells us that she had just gotten home with her mom and was going to be late, like an hour late. Well great, I thought to myself but then I realized she said she was at home, with her mom and I was like well maybe instead we could come visit you and your mom? And she was like ok!!! And so we went and met with evelyn, her mom and dad and sister! And it was AMAZINGGGG. her mom is literally sooo spiritual. She did have a hard time accepting the Book of Mormon, she explained that she had found God and has a lot of spiritual experiences with the Bible. We explained to her that the Bible is very important and so are these experiences and how she can have even more reading the Book of Mormon, she accepted. We will see what happens when we follow up!!
Third, Erika and Orianna are not doing as well as we thought((the ones whose dad killed himself about a month ago)) sat orianna went to a jóvenes actividad and LOVED IT. her and her mom came to church the next day, Orianna is concerned for her grandpa and Adrianna((the young women's president) invited her to go to the temple with the ward at the end of July, but to enter the temple, she has to be baptized. Adriana came up to us after church explaining this to us, and then she was like I did something I don't know if it's bad or good, I invited her to baptism! She's like she didn't say no but she didn't say yes, so hopefully we can help Orianna progress towards baptism so she go to the temple!! The ward is very supportive of them so we will see what happens!!
We have a noche de talentos planned for this week and so stressed, we have so much to do this week, I hope it turns out ok! We have a really cool thing planned so hopefully things go as planned.
Ok, I'm sad because time is running out but feeling extremely blessed for the people we have to teach, serving in the beautiful island of Tenerife and most importantly for the opportunity to testify of my Savior every moment of everyday. Love you all, hope you are enjoying (the craziness of) summer!!!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
One last thing, the marriage jokes have already started LITERALLY FROM EVERYBODY and I'm already tired of it so if anybody makes any marriage jokes I'll freak out on you, you've been warned.
Ok, LOVE YOU ALL🖤🖤🖤🖤

Hola FamilaaaaaComo están todos??? Pues este semana fue genial, de verdad. This week was very good.
Monday night, we passed by an investigator that we had kinda stopped visiting because it was too hard to find a women to come with us, but Monday we felt like we should visit him so we did, and his niece was there so we were able to visit him, he told us that the day before he wondered what had happened to us, and then he invited us over Thursday to make arepas, we found a member to come with us and had some good arepa and a great lesson, and Sunday he came to church!!! Sadly, he is moving in a short two weeks 😔 Tuesday was a little bit slow because it was festivo here in the islands, but Erika and Orianna invited us over for arepas, they were sooooo good. And then we read mosiah 24 and it was a really good lesson. Wednesday, nothing excited happened. Thursday, we ate with paella man, he made us some ribs, they were good. They also went and visited another island the weekend before and they brought us all keychains! So nice of them, we talked about the family and they ended up coming to church yesterday! Friday, there is this nice man that comes to English class, he's basically fluent in English and he invited us over to meet and eat with his man. Anddd we ate more arepas. After, we had a little party for one of the jas and he brought a friend and said we could start teaching him once summer started. Saturday, we played futbol and I scored a goal😏 and then we had a lesson with a less active and we talked about the sacrament, it went really welll she told us she was going to come to church but ended up not coming 😭 but yesterday at church was amazing. The spirit was soooo strong holy cow. And the there was like 10 non members at church in total between the members bringing friends and our investigators and like a ton of less active people decided to come and we filled the sacrament room and ah it was just perfect and I was so happy. And today for pday, elder Campbell took us to teide((the volcano))!!! It was sooo cool. You have to have a special permission to go to the top top, but you can take a thingy, como se llama, like a ski lift thing to almost the top and there are two little hikes you can do there and you can see like all of the islands and it's the highest point in all of spain 🇪🇸 see the 600000 fotos attached.

All in all it was a pretty good week. Well love you all!!!!!! Have a good week!

Mark 8:38

Hola Familia-
This week was sooo uneventful. Literally every single lesson we set upfell through hahaha. But on the bright side zone conference wasgreat!!! Juan got baptized and I had the best paella of mylife!!!!!!!!!

Zone conference, we flew out Wednesday night and we stayed with someHermanas there and then after zone conference we had interviews andflew back to Santa Cruz. Zone conference was really good. We talkedabout really basic things, like the dress and grooming standards andstress and the Holy Ghost. It was good, and good to see pres and Hermanapack and all other missionaries. We were eating lunch((some super goodlasagna the married couple missionaries made)) and hermana Campbellwalks up to me, her and elder Campbell were late so i asked whathappened, she explained to me that they had a horrible morning((and itwas horrible like woke up at 5 to catch a boat only they had ticketsfor so they got there and were like sorry we meant to call you but youcan take the boat at 10, which was a smaller boat that goes faster andso hermana Campbell got super sea sick, poor people)) but she saidthat her day had been made! She said she got the nicest, sweetestletter and I was like that's great, and she was like it was from yourparents!!! What goes around comes back around, I guess.
Juan's baptism. It was amazing, better than Evelyn's, no. But close.
Paella. Remember those one people I told you about? The super catholichusband. Well they made us paella 🥘 it was delicious.
Sorry this is soo uneventful, praying for a better week. Anyways, I'llexplain the scrip. This morning I read a talk by pres hinckley fromApril 1979 called and peter went out and wept bitterly. I think we alllook at peter and are like, seriously, how could he deny Jesus? He isone of his apostles! But we all do!! Everyday. As the talk explains, Ihope we can all have enough self disciple to chose the right andfollow our Savior as true disciples.
Love you all, have a good week!!!!!

3 Nefi 11:33

Hola Familia!!!Anyways this week was kinda stressful with the baptism and all makingsure everything was perfect but it was alllll sooo worth it. Evelyn'sbaptism was literally one of the happiest days of my life, seeing herhappy and just feeling our Heavenly Fathers love for her. It was anamazing baptism and I am excited to start teaching her family!
(Too Much) Fried Chicken and the Good Samaritan. We are teaching thisfamily (almost a year ago their 20 year old daughter was baptized, sheis now living in the United States)((by family I mean mom and stubborncatholic dad)) and the dad is sooo catholic and doesn't want anythingelse but he lovesssssss feeding us. But we decided to just teach basicprinciples that we all agree on, so this week we taught the goodSamaritan. And it was awesome. We talked a lot about how a lot ofpeople say they follow Jesus Christ but how their actions sayotherwise. We also talked about charity-the pure love of Christ. Itwas good.
Also I don't remember what else happened this week. Today we went toCandelaria, a black sand beach and played uno in a cave!!!!
Ok, love you all, have a good week!

Holaaaaaaaaa Familia
This week was pretty great! It went by so fast I can't even remember what happened. Ok, Monday night, we met with Roberto, idk if you remember the egg man in the elevator a while back. He is really interested and we have another lesson with him tonight! Tuesday we met with this investigator named Santi and we taught the plan of Salvacion and he was like "I don't believe in Adam and Eve cause to create us their kids would have to have kids together and then they would all have mental challenges" 🙄 and then Wednesday it was a holiday here so we played Uno at the church with the jóvenes and Thursday we went to this (pijo) investigators house and they made us ribs 👅 it wasn't as good as dad's but I'll take what I can get at this point. This man wants nothingggg to do with the church but he lovessssss to cook for us and the mom wants to get baptized but the dad won't let her. 😢 He is super respectful and amiable but he is just stuck in his Catholic ways. Friday, Evelyn passed her baptism interview, pray that everything goes well this Saturday!!!!!!! And then we met with Cristina and she is the cutest and I love her. Saturday we had an autosuficiencia actividad, usually we probably wouldn't go but Elder Campbell said to at least greet people and then leave if their are no non-members but this ward is awesome and we met two wonderful future investigators, also the autosuficiencia actividad reallly got me thinking about the future, and I have a lot of questions and just trying not to think about it right now. Sunday was pretty chill, only Evelyn came to church. Had a ndh and the new elder just stayed in a different room and slept - haha - aka he's lame making his companion up tight all the time and they aren't fun to be around. We did go to the beach with them though, that was pretty fun, we convinced one of them to let us bury him, he didn't know what he got himself into, hahaha. We also played Uno, our district has a strange addiction to Uno right now. This beach was exactly like a beach from Mexico. I literally thought I was in Mexico. 'Twas a good week and reaping the rewards.
Love you alllllll ❤️

D&C 135:3

I finished the doctrine and covenants in spanish! Yayyyy also that scripture (D&C 135:3) is bombbb always remember the sacrifices that were made so you can be saved.
Querido Familia-
This week was pretty tranquilo, with hermana larsons bad ankle ((she is almost back to normal now and we have a full week ahead of us)) we didn't get out much. We tried to stay in the capilla. However we were able to get lots of carpeta(binder in Spanish) ((carpeta in mission terms: a binder full of records of past investigators. These investigators were stopped being visited due to: they weren't keeping commitments, they didn't have time, didn't want anything. You go through this every once in a while to see if you can find some people to teach, it's like giving them a second chance!!)) anyways we called a man from the carpeta and we met with him, he was dropped cause he didn't have time. But he has a super firm testimony in Christ he just can't seem to receive an answer so hopefully we can help him! Also Evelyn decided she wants to get baptized on the thirteenth of this month. Pray that everything goes smoothly! Today is Labor Day here soo we couldn't do anything, literally everythinggggg was closed. It's a ghost town today.
Sorry this is short, not much happened. This week should be exciting though!!!

John 14:18

Holaaaaa Familaaaaaa
First things first, Davis is salvaje hahahahahahaah I'm dying. Second off, this was a great week untilllllll my companion sprained her ankle
playing soccer, we'll see how this week goes. However, I still managedto get to Loro Parque today. Loro parque is like a zoo but withdolphin and sea lion and killer whale shows like sea world. It wasreally cool. More about this week.Let's see. We had a lesson Friday with Evelyn and we watched that oneconference talk called to my friends and investigators to the churchor something, how he talked about his conversion story. And then therewas a member and she explained her conversion story and I feltprompted to ask her to baptism and I did and she said that she feltscared and so the member explained that there's no reason to be scaredand that she needs to pray. Evelyn then explains that she has beenpraying but not with real intent, so we invite her to pray with realintent. That was Friday. Sunday she was a little late to church so shejust came in and sat next to me and when sacrament meeting ended shelooked and me and was like hermana and I was just like hey how are youand she was like " voy a bautizarme!" I literally couldn't containmyself, I was literally speechless. And after our lesson with Evelynwe met with Cristina(the Colombian girl from last week? Did I tell youabout her). So we met with her and and we got there and she had readthe chapter we left her and when we asked who she would like to saythe opening prayer she said she would!!!!!((last time she wouldn'tpray for nada)) we also had a lesson with another Cristina and her sonBrian and they are just sooo Canarian. And we talked about prayer andso the son was like why don't we pray to the Virgin Mary and weexplained that the first commandment is to love God with all thy heartwe also explained no other God's before me and the mom was like Briannooooo where in the Bible does it say we pray to Mary but then the momwas like why don't you do the padre nuestro ((the catholic prayer))but Cristina came to church so that's good! ((We only had 2 people atchurch yesterday)) there was definitely lots of highs to this week.Hopefully we can get some stuff done this week!!  Love you all!!!!

Ether 3:14

Holaaaaaa Familaaaaaa
It was an amazing week, yet again. We had 4 investigators at church AGAIN!! The work is really moving along here in Santa Cruz. As a district we had 9 total at church the elders had 2 and the other elders had 3 so that's really cool the islands are hard but not impossible! This week we also did intercambios, we had to go over to Gran Canaria(a different island) and we got to go by boat! It was super cool, super beautiful! Intercambios were super fun too. I learned a lot and it was cool to be on a different island. This week we met with a new investigator named Luis. He is from Bolivia and he is super cool, he told us he is just looking for the right church. He has a lot of potential and excited to see him again this week! Also, the elders called us the other day because this lady had called them to send the Hermanas over. We passed by her Saturday night and she was home! She is this nice little lady from Colombia, she's 28 and sooo prepared! We have a lesson this Friday with her!! Idk what else happened this week, they just go by sooo fast and I can't remember what happened. But just know it was a good week!!!
ok lots of love!!!!!

Matthew 6:33

Holaaaaa Familaaaa

This week was a really great week! We stayed super busy and saw lots
of miracles! We met with some members this week and when we got there
they had invited friends over to listen to us! And we met with
Cristina, another investigator we have. She is super awesome the only
problem is her husband is a Catholic deep in the heart so he doesn't
really like the church but her daughter is in Utah and about to get
married to a boy there. We met with Evelyn this week, she's doing
great, she has really felt answers to her prayers and she is still
waiting to here about baptism, hopefully she gets her answer soon! The
other day we were a little bit early to a good appointment so we
decided to see if there was anybody around in the park near by and so
we went and we sat down on a bench with this man and we ended up
showing him the new Easter video and he gave us his number so
hopefully we can meet with him this week! The biggest miracle all week
though? WE HAD 4 INVESTIGATORS AT CHURCH YESTERDAY, that might not
sound like a big deal when serving in South America but when usually
we have 0-2 every Sunday we couldn't believe it. Hermana Larson and I
couldn't stay in our seats we were so excited. Basically hermana
Larson and I are working great together and we are giving it our all
and miracles are coming. I'm excited to see what this week has in
store for us! Today for pday we went to a little pueblo(a village) and
did a hike and it was beautiful. I still can't believe I'm a
missionary in the Canary Islands! #Blessed

LIVING IN PARADISE

Hola Familia-

Let me just tell you, living on an island is exactly as it seems,
PARADISE ☀️ hopefully I can answer everybody's questions.

1) HOW WAS THE TRAVEL??
traveling was fun, just a little less than 2 hour airplane ride, no
biggie. The stressful part, you are only allowed one bag that weighs
less than 50 pounds, packing was STRESSFUL. I left a suitcase behind
in the mission home with all my other stuff, I accidentally left some
important stuff like my patriarchal blessing so if you could email me
a copy of it that would be great. Other than that I should have
everything I need.

2) HOW'S THE WORK?
The ward here is great ((yes they are a ward!)) they made me feel
right at home. There is about 100 people every Sunday. Our ward
mission leader is Italian and make us Italian food every Saturday😝
there are a lot of "Canarian" families. Meaning they are from here,
the Canary Islands unlike Madrid where your ward is basically South
Americans. The work here is a little different, when life is perfect
and living on an island, who needs God? Basically everybody here is
atheist and we really just relay on the members for references. But
keep the faith! We have some good people we are working with! Martin,
he is from Galicia ((close to A Coruña)) and he is dating a member so
that's how we found him. He's got that stubborn Spanish man in him. He
won't pray about the Book of Mormon because he doesn't understand it
and he won't understand it until he reads the whole thing. We try to
tell him otherwise but that's how he feels so patience and prayers.
Evelyn.. the only thing that's holding her back is fear. We met with
this mom and daughter and they are awesome, the girl is 14 and so
intelligent she asked some deep questions.

3) WHAT'S YOUR COMPANION LIKE?
Fun Facts about my companion!
-she's 4 feet 8 inches
-she was adopted from Cambodia
- she played lacrosse at SVU

4) HOW IS YOUR LIFE ON THE ISLAND???
AMAZING, I WOULD SUGGEST EVERYBODY VISIT IT ITS BEAUTIFUL AND AMAZING
AND IM SO HAPPY HERE MISSIONARY LIFE IS THE BEST LIFE. the island is
kinda like a mix of Mexico and Hawaii, every where I go I can see the
ocean so that's awesome. There's a little train via that goes through
the whole city kinda like one of those things in Portland. Here in
Santa Cruz there's a matrimonio couple so double blessed. There's
cockroaches every where which is not fun and it's super hilly. This
week, as far as weather wise, I heard the weather was weird and not
normal. It was like stormy and rainy one moment and then warm the
next. I heard it's usually pretty warm. Moral of the story the work is
moving a long poco a poco but life is a dream here. There's also tons
of fun stuff to do for pday today we went to monkey park!(see photos
and vids).

I can get mail so don't stop!

TRANSFER NEWS

My time in Leganés was a blink of an eye, I'm leaving, where you ask??? Here are some clues:
1. I'm going on an airplane
2. I'm surrounded by water3. I've heard it's paradise
You guessed it, I'm going to the Canary Islands!!!! I'm going to theisland of Tenerife the area of Santa Cruz. I've heard it's the best.I'm extremely sad to be leaving Leganés but I'm beyond excited to goto the islands 🌴. It's gonna be an experience of a life time that I'mblessed to have.
My week in Leganés was honestly a great week to end. We met with Rosiand she was having doubts about this church and Gods plan for her butshe prayed about it and she said she knows that she has no doubt andthat as soon as her situation is better she'll be baptized. We metwith our new little family and it was really good but also reallyhard. Because the youngest is ten, so we tried to keep it reallysimple for him but then the grandma had taken the discussions beforeso she asked questions like why was the Book of Mormon written on goldplates? We had a lot of other fun things happen, like a family makingus some good American burgers and service projects!!! More helpingpeople move!
Anyways it was a good week, my mind is spinning this is probably allyour hear from me today because I'm getting on plane at like 3 so staytuned for my adventures next week!
Lots of love ❤️Hermana Robertson

Well this week we were put into a lot of uncomfortable situations that
I probably i can't share more about because it's "sensitive
information" but not all is lost because this is the work of the Lord
and miracles are everywhere!

Saturday was miracle day! So the other day we were going to an
appointment and we met this dad and his two kids, the mom had met with
missionaries before and they gave us their address(very rare, usually
we just get fake numbers)! And so Sunday we decided to pass by them
and it came to pass that they were home! And we talked with them the
husband isn't very creyente but the mom is. She really liked meeting
with the missionaries until she moved and lost contact with them. The
10 year old son is most creyente of all, he makes the family pray and
go to church every Sunday. They are super cool and have a bright
future!

Both us and the Elder's have an investigator who we seem to be better
friends with than missionaries, and it's hard for them to progress. So
what we did is we switched investigators with the Elders so that we
could restart with them almost and help them understand why we are
here as missionaries. And so Saturday night we met with Roxana. Roxana
knows the church is true but has fear of getting baptized. She reads
and comes to church when she can. So we did a little bit of how to
begin teaching( see preach my gospel chapter 10) with her to help her
understand why we are here. And then that transitioned into a simple
lesson about faith. We were all feeling the spirit and all in all it
was a good lesson.

It definitely was a crazy week but I'm learning from it all. Wishing
you all a wonderful week with nice weather! Love you all! ❤️

Holaaaaaa Familaaaaa

First off, proud of the bombers! That's super cool that Riley got most
blocks. Also impressive you guys got 5th seeing how they are
supporting the Justin Bieber hair.

This week was exhausting! That's when you know they are good though.
So the move we helped went with went really well. They lived on the
5th floor without an elevator. none the less the less active lady and
her husband were super grateful. Saturday at 8 o clock we get a call
from the relief society pres who asked us to help move her sister into
the same piso, another five floors without elevator. Well she is less
active too so she owes us by coming back to church. This week we also
did intercambios! I worked with hermana Snyder and it was super fun
and learned a lot from her. We went to b9 (barrio 9) which is like the
ghetto of Madrid so it was fun. This week we met with Denise and we
started teaching the plan of Salvacion and we got into a really good
discussion on our purpose in this life! Thursday morning we met with a
new girl named Dayanara! She is the cutest! She is 21 and recently
moved here from Ecuador. Her family is taking the lessons in Ecuador
and and told her to seek out the missionaries here. And some how she
ended up in our hands and she's amazingggg, she has sooo much
potential. As we were teaching her I just really felt the power of
missionary work and how missionaries in Ecuador are affecting our work
here in Spain. This is the work of the Lord!

Querido Familia-

First and foremost HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!!!!!!! 🎉 🎈 🎁 I hope you had
the best birthday!!!!!!!!!!!
Second, FHE IDEA!!!!!!!!!!!! Buy some liver, fry it up and eat it so
that you know what your beloved sister/daughter is going through!!!!
Yes I had to eat liver again this week and each time it gets worse and
worse, it just desolves into sand in your mouth and if you apply this
activity right, you will learn for yourself. Really, not much happened
this week, we visited Ramon and when we got there his child(he's
3)started throwing up and we were like yeah, we'll come back a
different day. And we tried to visit Denise but she was always busy
and Linda, well she couldn't but she invited us over for lunch next
Sunday!!! Oh I almost forgot, Tuesday we had a seventy speak to us!!!
Ulysses Soares. Man, he was really good. He talked a lot about the
importance of companion study, he shared D&C 48:8-9 with us. How when
we are gathered (wherever it may be, from church to companion study to
fhe and family scriptures) the purpose is to instruct and edify to learn and apply.

He also talked a lot about our calling, how we
were called and what our calling means. One thing he said that really
struck me was that me((a missionary)) and the apostle have the same
calling, to testify of Christ. And we are the only ones set apart to
do so, super cool. We talked about goals. Moses 3:4-5, even God
planned out before He created the world. And he talked about after
everything we can do, then are we blessed. And he finished with this
quote "ATTITUDE determines ALTITUDE". It was a bomb day, until I had to
say the closing prayer and my knees were so shaky I almost fell on my
face but I got an extra hug from his wife and extra handshake from
him, so worth it. That night was cool too, we went to pass by the
Cordovas and they weren't home😭 but as we were about to walk away a
kid I knew from the church walked out and I was like well we can go
visit this fam por la menos, so we had a really nice short lesson with
them about Christ and they prayed for opportunities to share their
testimonies and so as we were walking out I was like watch, right as
we walk out the cordovas walk in. AND GUESS WHAT HAPPENED. right as we
walked out the cordovas walked in, and they invited us in and well
MIRACLES😭🤗😍 they are just the coolest. Basically it was a slow week
but it was a great week!!!! Anyways love you all!!!! Have a good
week!!!
