Ether 12:27

¡Hola Familia!
This week was hard, but good. Almost every lesson we had set up
cancelled on us or we would set up a visit and we would go and they
wouldn't be home. It's hard not to get discouraged about this, but I
remember that in the CCM we watched a video about this girl and how
she was running a race and tripped and fell, but she got back up and
ran even harder than before. I was thinking about this video as I was
discouraged that people were failing us, I could either be sad about
it or I could go out and contact more people. I decided, that yes I
was sad because I want to help these people and not only are they
wasting my time but the Lord's, but also that part of missionary work
is being an example of Christ. I decided that I was going to put a
smile on my face and find more people to contact. It truly is an
amazing experience and blessing to be a representative of Jesus Christ.

Our minute to win it was really fun! Kinda sad only like three
families came. But everybody that did come had a lot of fun!

This week we got to see the Capilla, chapel. It's right on the ocean and has
basketball hoops and soccer courts! It's pretty cool and all the
members are excited for it, it's the first actual chapel in the north
of Spain, how cool! This week it also rained a lot too, glad I brought
rain boots! Did you guys have day lights saving? We went forward this
week and now we don't go in till 10 and go to bed at 11:30 and wake up
at 7:30!

We are watching almost all of conference live I think, our schedule is a little bit weird. It's going to be crazy, I'm excited for conference though! We are watching the women's one Saturday, so obviously that one isn't going to be
live. Was it good? I bet it was, women's is always my fav.  Well I love you all!! read your scriptures and say your prayers!

2Nephi 2:27

¡hola familia!
This week was really busy! We had lots of lessons and appointments and
activities and planning! It was a good week. I am starting to have
understand a lot more than before in Spanish, I'm still pretty
clueless but with constant prayer I don't get too discouraged because
I know in God's timing it will come so I'm not too worried about it
yet, just patience and practice and things will be good! Dulce and
Jesus, some of our investigators, we challenged them to baptism this
week. They said they know the Book of Mormon is true but that they are
evangelists so it's hard for them to change. So we will have to work
with them. Juan Carlos and Yulia, we invited them to baptism this week
too. And they said they know the Book of Mormon is true too but that
they aren't ready. So hopefully we can work with them too and feel
prepared and want to get baptized and realize the importance of it.
Deisy and Vicki they are two of our investigators with a date, they
didn't come to church Sunday, kinda sad about that, if you want to be
baptized they gotta come to church and realize the importance so we
will continue working with them. We also work with a lot of menos
activos, a lot. Also, we have to go to every members house and give a
devo about keeping the sabbath day holy. It's a super cool devo, I
will see if i can send it to you guys, I'm excited to to do it but it
also takes up a lot of our time teaching investigators. But it will be
good for the members. This week it rained a couple of days but the
other days were super nice! I had to bear my testimony in church on
Sunday and oh my it's a miracle I'm still alive because I was so
nervous I couldn't breathe. Every Friday night we have fhe, noche de
hogar, and the hermanas were in charge of the game and I introduced
them to killer froggy and everybody LOVED it. Oh my goodness it was so
fun. I can't wait to play the water games, dad you taught me. I just
have to find the people who won't get mad, hahaha. It will be fun. One
of the elders here in a Coruña with us is straight from Hawaii(the big
island) and he gave me some dried mango one of his friends sent to him
and it was sooo good it was from, www.snackhawaii.com . Tyler Haws
lives in Santiago and is the ward mission leader there my companion
told me and Santiago is like an hour away from me so that's cool. Also
I don't know what time I'll be emailing next week because we are going
to Vigo Monday because we have zone conference Tuesday.  Also, a Coruña does have a soccer team, there was a game the other night and they streets and bars were full of blue and white! Well I had a really good week and we have another busy week ahead of us, estoy animada!(I'm excited) it will be a good
week, love you all!! Read your scriptures and say your prayers!

1 Nephi 3:7 (Kea's title) - Didn't take Kea long to find the Beach! (my title)

3.9.16
Familia-
I a writing this on my six hour train ride to my first area A Coruña - it
is the coast. I am excited to be on the ocean!!!! We will have to see
what the weather is like, I heard its humid and rainy. Good thing I
brought rain boots instead of sandals, eh? At this moment, I have not
met my trainer and I'm nervous to travel by myself in a foreign
country-all is well though.

So yesterday we waited at the stake center where we got picked up,
there was 12 of us, where we got taken to the mission home and we did
some stuff and got our iPads! So we each have our own iPads which is
crazy. They also fed us tacos, banana bread, and scotchoroos aka
deliciousness and i wouldn't mind more. Hermana Reidhead and the rest
of my friends left at 5:50 in the morning to leave for Barcelona and
Malaga that was sad to say goodbye to them.

So, last night I had to stay the night with some sisters that lived
close to the train station yet far away from the stake center so we (3
new missionaries with luggage and the 2 sisters) had to take all our
stuff around town on metros and walking and it was like a solid hour
and a half and very difficult.  So there was an elder with us waiting
at the hermanas apartment to take him and the other hermana and I
stayed at the hermanas apartment and to the train station in the
morning and they took care of us and were very nice.

3.9.16-9 hours later
So I have still not met my trainer and I am still on a train. So I got
to A Coruña and there were just elders and they were like this is
awkward where's your ticket your not supposed to be here. So they went
and bought me another ticket and so I went an hour and a half a
different way to Vigo where when I got off these sisters were like we
are sorry but you have to go back. So that's where I am now back on an
hour and a half train to A Coruña . So what apparently happened was the
elder who is in charge of tickets was supposed to buy me a ticket to
Vigo because that's where my trainer was with the other sisters for
the night but her area is A Coruña so that's where they bought it to
but when my trainer found out I was going to A Coruña she got on a
train to go there but nobody told the elders so she got there right
after I left again and it's just very complicated. But I'm happy - this
part of Spain is beautiful and I just get to see it all. I am just
tired of carrying my suitcases around. Also like 30 minutes before I
had to get off my first train the lady - she was like 40 - I was sitting
next too started crying and I asked her if she was ok and she just
started crying on my shoulder and then she told me her mom is about to
die and I told her you can see her again and I asked if she said
missionaries like me could visit her and she said no that just me
being there was enough but I said give me your phone number I can help
and she was like I don't want to bother you guys and I was like NO
THIS IS WHY IM HERE but I failed to get her phone number but I gave
her a pass along card with our number and I know that if she follows
her heart she will call and be ok but anyways for that whole 30
minutes there was a lady crying on my shoulder.. Interesting. Also I
am anxious to see the ocean.

3.14.16
Love my area, love my trainer, love my ward, love my investigators.
It's actually a branch but they are so bomb and so loving my
investigators are the best and I will explain in a letter, my trainer
is from Utah and she is so weird and crazy and nice and patient but I
love her! I just want to know Spanish though so I can talk with all
these people I love so it's hard I get discouraged at times but I just
try to be patient and get lost in the work, I know it will come. We
teach class ingles and noche de hogan and every Friday night a lady in
the ward teaches Zumba so we go there, there are non members so it's
missionary work! Same with class ingles and every Saturday morning we
play soccer with a mix of members and non members.

You are just supposed to send letters the mission office. For packages
though it cost like money to get them out of customs so address them
to Daniel young and then put my name on it somewhere and it will only
be a couple euros idk why. But in the letter you never got from me I
explained that if you use The England or Europe Amazon it doesn't have
to go through customs but it's not personal but for like the vitamins you
want to send me or something that's an option.

Today for pday we went to the beach and found cool places to eat hehe
it was the best.
